Emergence

Remember the altar within- layered with silk, pine, fragments of love left, love walking with you, a small fire lit beneath holding the memory of all that brought you into form.

Remember sister, daughter, lover, friend.
Birthed from grandmother sun into this skin, swallowing itself, spiraling outward brilliant hues of midnight, bluejay, juniper, oak.
Shape-shifting chaos into clarity,
transmuting grief into glory, owing no constant shape to anything.

Remember the way light emerges
on the wings of what you least expected
when you stop asking it to?
