writing the body workshop

Join Writer & Poet Tiffany Narron for a writing workshop Thursday, June 2 from 3-5 p.m. at Mars Landing Galleries to explore writing the body. Together, we’ll read texts from writer and dream-worker Toko-pa Turner as well as Embodiment Coach Prentis Hemphill and create a warm space to breathe and center into our bodies. I will guide us using writing prompts and reflection exercises to allow us space to listen to what our bodies are sharing with us and allow it forward. No writing experience is necessary– just an open heart and mind to allow yourself this space to listen and allow your body to speak. There is no expectation to share. Everything is an invitation and alternative prompts/guidance will be shared if one prompt or exercise doesn’t resonate. Questions? Feel free to reach out to me!

ekphrastic writing workshop for mars hill first fridays

Join me in the studio at Mars Landing Galleries for Mars Hill’s First Fridays event on Friday, June 3 from 5-8 p.m.

I’ll guide you through a fun ekphrastic writing exercise as you walk through the art gallery in full bloom with new work displayed from a variety of artists. You’ll choose the piece you feel drawn to write about, making note of the color and texture, the smells and sounds, the feelings or memories that rise up as you take the work in. No writing experience necessary, free and open to all.

loss mom’s remembrance circle

Circle in this Mother’s Day in remembrance with fellow Loss Moms to breathe, write, and connect. Together, we will light a candle and create a warm circle to share memories and use writing and breath to center in as we honor the lives of little ones who left this physical world sooner than expected. This circle is open to all loss, non-denominational in orientation (all faiths welcome, however this will not be centered in religion). All sharing and somatic/journaling activities will be optional. You’re welcome to come and light a candle in silence or participate in all of the activities. All comfort levels and experiences are welcome.

Reserve your seat in the circle. A $5 fee covers materials and space.
