There’s this delicate dance with another.
Like socked feet on wooden floors, Padding along so gentle yet firm.
A give and take, a keeping of space. I lead, you follow.
We turn and reverse. Breathing into it. This coming together and falling apart.
Our bodies alive and shape-shifting to a new rhythm.
Moving similarly as before…
Dipping where we know to dip. Skipping what we’ve learned to skip.
Yet leaning in a little, allowing ourselves get lost in the unknown…
How long will this song will last?
Hopefully it lingers on enough for us to carry it’s down-beat in our bellies.
Let it ride on within our hips, move slowly into the chest, become part of the internal music that moves you and carries me, pushes we along in this sacred dance with life.
